The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has set a new benchmark for fan engagement with a host of exciting new rules and initiatives designed to enhance the overall spectator experienceboth on ground and online. One of the biggest additions is the launch of global fan parks in over 16 countries, offering free live match screenings, entertainment zones, food stalls, and cultural performances, allowing fans to enjoy the game in a stadium like atmosphere without attending in person.

Digitally, the ICC has expanded its reach by launching Hindi social media channels and increasing live coverage via ICC.tv across 83 new countries, including Japan, Nepal, and the Netherlands. The official T20 World Cup website and app have also been upgraded, offering AI generated clips, real time highlights, exclusive behind the scenes content, and multilingual commentary to ensure a more inclusive and immersive experience.

A major innovation is the introduction of the ICC Fan Passport, a digital engagement platform built in partnership with NEAR Foundation. Fans can earn rewards by participating in predictions, digital games, and interactive features like virtual meetups and Roblox based experiences.

For mobile first users, vertical video feeds powered by AI and machine learning provide a seamless viewing experience with real time analytics like ball tracking and player positioning on split screens.

These updates reflect ICC’s commitment to making the game more accessible, entertaining, and interactivereshaping how cricket is experienced globally and setting a fan first standard for future tournaments.
